Our Community Mourns the Tragic Loss of a Giant, Joseph "Mutangazi" Mutangadura

At Pronto Meats, we are more than just a butchery; we are a proud part of a larger community of food providers, entrepreneurs, and families across Zimbabwe. It is with the heaviest of hearts that we pause to mourn the tragic and untimely passing of a true giant in our industry, Joseph "Mutangazi" Mutangadura. 

The news of his brutal killing at his Ruwa farmhouse has sent shockwaves not just through his local community, but through the entire meat and butchery fraternity.

As a fellow butchery dedicated to serving our community in Zengeza, Chitungwiza, we feel this loss profoundly. Mr. Mutangadura was a well-known and respected businessman whose establishments, including the famous Mutangadura Hideout and several butcheries, were pillars of the Ruwa community. 

His work and entrepreneurial spirit were an inspiration to many of us in the trade.

Mr. Mutangadura dedicated his life to this service, and his loss is a stark reminder of the challenges and dangers that businesspeople can face in our country. Standing Together in Grief and a Call for Safety

The brutal nature of his death, reportedly at the hands of suspected robbers, is a cause for immense concern for all of us. It highlights the urgent need for greater security and safety for all business owners and citizens. No one should have to fear for their life while working to build a better future for their family and community.

During this difficult time, our thoughts and most profound condolences are with the Mutangadura family, his friends, his employees, and the entire Ruwa community. We stand in solidarity with them, sharing in their grief.
